For the first time EVER, Cactus Flower is carrying swimsuits, and I'm pretty sure these retro, feminine styles fit us absolutely perfectly.  Whether you're just reminiscing Spring break or already planning for summer, here's a little mini-editorial we made to get you as excited as we are!

If 60s-inspired crocheted oxfords, open toe flats, and 70s-amazing heels in mimosa orange and bloody-mary-red don't get you excited for Spring, we're not sure what will. Usually Springtime = Attack of the Floral Dresses downstairs, but this year we have an amazing mix of classic feminine pieces along with funky prints (sailboats, rick-rack, bows, unicorns, cats, sunglasses, owls... seriously, you name it), all-American tomboy styles (think Now & Then, with better shoes) and everything in-between. NEW IN-STORE: Spring accessories!

 Forget fuzzy mittens and blanket-sized scarves -- with the warmth of Spring finally upon us, Cactus Flower is full of excuses to indulge in some light and bright accessories.

First, THE HAIR. As always we have lots of flowery hair pins and sparkly bobby pin baubles for those days you want to feel the warm sun on your neck. Slick your hair into a bun-whatever and PUT A FLOWER ON IT. Works every time.

And for the first time ever, we have brand new umbrellas in stock downstairs!!! Are you as excited for April showers as we are? These sturdy, lifetime-guarantee cane umbrellas come in vintage inspired patterns as well as clear plastic, and we have some more compact varieties that can live in your bag when you don't feel like making quite such a statement. Sandals. Beautiful ones. Under thirty dollars. These will NOT be around for long.

In case you didn't know, wide-brim hats aren't just for grannies at the beach anymore! We love, love, love them with just about anything. Wide-brim hat + maxi dress = brunch and a long walk in the breeze. Widebrim hat + tailored silhouette + shades: Ultra feminine but with an undeniable mystery.... We have this versatile staple in tons of colors, stripes n solids, come try them all on and find which one's perfect for you.

CONGRATULATIONS HILARY! A Very Cactus Flower Baby Shower...

Our Hilary is expecting any day now so we showered her with love, affection, and sushi!

 

 

We're pretty sure she loved all her personalized gifts, including some mini vintage dresses to start her baby girl off on the right frock! 

  

You know we love any excuse to dress up and celebrate! Fancy lady hats were mandatory attire.

Jill, owner/founder of CF hosted and stuffed us with amazing sushi & other goodies! No, that's not a new tribal style necklace she's wearing -- that's the baby shower game where everyone wheres a string, and you steal a clothespin any time someone says the word "baby"!

 

Right before the madness of Spoons ensued...

We had a contest to see who could write the most unique word associations with the word "baby". Blame the champagne or the beatnik headwear, but everyone's readings turned out more like a themed poetry slam than a baby game... *cue finger snapping*
